Mentoring
My presentation called "Divas, Disciples and Dusty Houses" encourages women of all ages to make intentional and intergenerational connections. The popularity of this topic, though, called for more in-depth teaching.
The "At the Well" Mentoring Retreat answers that call. In two to four presentations, event planners can be sure their women will have a biblical understanding of what it means to "pour in" to the life of another woman, and how important it is that she first "draw from" the well.
Keep reading, and take note at the bottom of this page the FREE RESOURCES you can download and share. These are just a sample of the practical tools women receive during the "At the Well" Mentoring Retreat presentations.

Oprah says 50 is the new 30. If that’s true, then size 12 is the new size 2 and we’re all looking really good!
Regarding older and younger women, the keystone passage is from the New Testament, Titus 2:3-5. It says older women are to teach younger women good things. But how many candles must be on a woman’s birthday cake to place her in the “older” group? The original Greek term used in that passage isn’t super-specific, so I made a mini-quiz for you.
You know you’re an older woman if you…
... wear pantyhose
... use e-mail
... have merely one shade of color on your hair
You know you’re a younger woman if you…
... wear toe rings
... do Twitter
... have at least three different colors in your hair
(Spoiler alert: According to this quiz, I’m a younger woman! Yea, baby! I still got it! This proves yet again how making my own quizzes enhances my life.)
But back to older and younger women. They each crave intergenerational friendship, but are unsure how to make it happen. Recently, I spoke at a women’s retreat and tied the Titus passage to John 4:4-42 – the story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well. The connection is this: We can’t give what we don’t have! Older women can’t pour into the lives of younger women if they are chronically overwhelmed and exhausted. First, they must “Draw From the Well” (my first session) and fill their own cups. Only then can they “Pour From the Overflow” (my second session) into the lives of younger women.
